Grilling is a fun summer activity. The sizzling sound of meat and fish getting seared on an open grill is a delicious and fun thing to watch. Today, we are going to share an interesting grilling recipe, the conventional style but with a twist – the Himalayan Salt Grilling Plate. You must have heard about them but today’s recipe will make you enjoy them.
Let’s take a look at the ingredients and get going!
Ingredients:
1 Pride of India Himalayan Pink Salt Grilling Plate
16 large sea scallops
1 ½ tbsp olive oil
1 lemon, juice, and zest
2 scallions, thinly sliced
Preparation:
For coal heating, place the plate on one side of the grate and stacks of coal on the other side. If you are using a gas grill then, start to heat the plate on low flame yet steadily for 15 minutes before grilling.
Make sure the scallops are at room temperature.
Dry the scallops with a towel. Coat the scallops with olive oil and carefully place them on the heated Pride of India Himalayan Pink Salt Grilling Plate using tongs.
Sear the scallops and allow them to form a brown crust outside after 3 minutes. Once done, turn it over for the other side to turn brown.
Depending on the surface area of the cooking plate, make sure you cook the scallops in batches. Avoid crowding to get the best flavor.
Garnish with lemon juice, lemon zest and scallions or other seasonings which you may prefer.
To serve, you can use the pink salt plate as a serving dish or you can transfer the sizzling scallops to a plate and enjoy.
